Loyalty cards built for restaurants

Restaurant guests come back less often than coffee drinkers, but they spend more each time. A stamp card on their phone reminds them of you between visits and gives them a reason to book your table next time.

Visits are further apart

A restaurant regular may come two to four times a month: lunch with colleagues on a weekday, dinner with family at the weekend. A card of 20 stamps would take them a year. The example card has 10 stamps with a first reward at 5, so the fifth visit already brings something, and the full card stays within reach.

A card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet stays on the phone between visits. When someone decides where to eat on Saturday, your card is already there, with your name, your colours and the number of stamps they have.

Stamp the person who pays, once per meal

Decide whether a stamp goes to the person who pays or to each guest at the table who holds a card. The simplest rule: the person who pays gets one stamp per visit. To make sure a card is stamped once per meal, set the minimum minutes between stamps to a few hours; a second scan before then is refused.

If several guests at the same table have a card, the waiter scans each one. Each card belongs to one person: one phone number can hold only one card of your program.

Stamping when the bill comes

When the bill comes, the guest shows the card on their phone. The waiter scans the QR with the floor phone, or types the phone number if the guest has not opened the card. On an iPhone the new stamp count appears on the guest's lock screen before they leave the table.

Every stamp is logged with the waiter who gave it. A stamp on the wrong card can be undone within 30 minutes. When a reward unlocks, it shows on the guest's card and in your dashboard, and staff mark it redeemed when the guest uses it.

Today, and later with Wox POS

Today your staff stamp from a phone. Wox Loyalty also has a hook for a POS: on Pro and Business you can create an API key for it, so Wox POS can add stamps when a bill is paid. That connection with Wox POS is planned and not live yet; it is built to work with the cards you create today.

Rewards that work here

  • A dessert for the table at 5 stamps
  • A bottle of house wine at 10 stamps
  • A free glass of wine with a weekday lunch
  • A tasting plate for two
  • Two welcome stamps for guests who join at their first dinner

Questions

How many stamps should a restaurant card have?

Fewer than a coffee shop's. Guests come back every week or two, so 6 to 10 stamps with a first reward halfway keeps the reward within a month or two. You can set any goal from 2 to 20 stamps, with up to five rewards.

Can every guest at the table collect stamps?

Yes, if each of them has a card. The waiter scans each card in turn. One phone number holds one card of your program, so nobody collects twice under the same number.

Does Wox Loyalty work with my POS?

Staff stamp from a phone, so it works next to any POS. An API key for connecting Wox POS comes with Pro and Business; automatic stamping from Wox POS when a bill is paid is planned and not live yet.

Can guests read the card in Georgian?

Yes. The join page and the card are in Georgian and English.
